Spreading Holiday Cheer – Blog Roundup

Now that’s officially December, I’m super excited to get into the holiday spirit. To be honest, I decorated a lot earlier this year than I normally do. I must admit, it is true what they say about decorating earlier bringing joy. I love lighting my favorite winter candle (Marshmallow Fireside from BBW), turning on my Christmas tree and other light-up decorations ,and cozying up on the couch.

If you’re not quite as excited as me, I’ve rounded up a few of my favorites to get you in the holiday mood.

Step 1:

Turn up the holiday jams. My favorite is the holiday pop mix on Spotify! Is it possible to not sing along to Mariah Carey’s All I Want for Christmas? Check out my list of favorite Christmas songs for more holiday inspo!

Step 2:

Bake some cookies! Break and bake will do just fine; they smell and taste just as good as home-baked, in my opinion. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, one of my favorite parts of the holidays is putting cookies in the oven, turning on festive music, and decorating the tree.

Step 3:

Speaking of decorating, break out your holiday decor! I love adding to my collection year after year. My favorite decorations are from places that I’ve been or were gifted to me. Most of my pieces have a fun memory or story attached to them that makes bringing them out year after so special! Check out my decorating tips here!

Step 4:

Movie time! I have a list of Christmas movies that I re-watch each year. On top of that list is Four Christmases. Plus, I like to dabble in the new movies that Netflix puts out. So far this year I’ve watched Holiday in the Wild and Let it Snow. Both are ok. My favorite Netflix Christmas movie is The Holiday Calendar. Do you have recommendations for Netflix and otherwise?

Step 5:

Get out and do some holiday activities! Last week, me, my boyfriend, and our neighbors attended our local tree lighting. Plus, every year I do a holiday outing with my family in the Philly area.

Maybe I’ve watched too many Hallmark movies, but I think there is something so romantic about the holiday season. There are so many inexpensive dates you can do this time of year. I’ve listed 25 of them here!
