Mom’s Macaroni and Shrimp Salad

I seriously can’t believe I haven’t shared this recipe yet. Especially considering this is a highly requested dish every holiday. My family loves this so much we try and hide a stash from our guests so that we can enjoy it too.  Be warned if you make this dish you will want to hide some for yourself too!

Here’s what you’ll need to make this yummy macaroni salad:

One box of medium shell pasta
4 cans of medium shrimp (per pound of pasta)
½ of a yellow onion
Half a pack of celery
Capful and a half of vinegar
4 heaping spoonfuls of mayo

In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for about minutes. Using a strainer drain the water. Rinse pasta under cold water.
Chop your onion and celery into small pieces.
Open your shrimp cans and drain the water.


Add your shrimp, pasta, celery and onions to a large bowl.
Now, add your mayo and vinegar. Mix everything together.



Add salt and pepper to taste.
Refrigerate for 4 hours.
