Fish Tacos with Spicy Slaw

Fish tacos are so light, refreshing and delicious. This recipe is so easy and takes very little time to make but packs a big punch of flavor. With a few minutes and a couple of mixing bowls, you can create this fun meal.

Here’s what you’ll need: DSC06221

The essentials
Corn tortillas
1 pound of tilapia
3 cups of coleslaw mix

spicy rub
1 Tbs garlic powder
1 Tbs paprika
1 Tbs Mrs. Dash, Seasoning Blend, Fiesta Lime
½ tsp dried oregano
¼ tsp cayenne pepper

marinade
3 tbs olive oil
3 tbs lime juice
1 tbs soy sauce

spicy slaw
½ cup mayo
2 tbs garlic powder
pinch of cayenne pepper
1 tsp sriracha

your fave fixings
* mine are cheese, sour cream, and avocado

Follow these steps to make the perfect fish tacos at home
Add seasonings listed for the spicy rub in a small bowl and stir to blend.
Rub your tilapia fillets with that mixture and let sit while you make your slaw.
In a large bowl mix your 3 cups of coleslaw and the ingredients listed together. Stir until evenly coated.
Let your slaw chill while you make cook the fillets.
Add the ingredients listed for the marinade into a medium sized bowl. Blend evenly and coat your fillets front and back.
Over medium-high heat cook your fillets in a flat pan. Drizzle the remaining marinade on top of fillets while they cook.
Remove your fillets from heats once they are a golden brown.
Cut into small bite-sized pieces and place on top of your corn tortillas.
Add your spicy slaw and your favorite fixings and you are good to go!

    Nope, nope, nope! It’s too early for me to be thinking about tacos. But here I am thinking about fish tacos! I love any taco. This looks like a great recipe that I will have to try when I get the chance. Do you have to use tilapia? Or will another fish do, like salmon? Great post!
