I started Dishing Up Chic to share my passions with the world. When it began, I had just fallen in love with cooking and wanted to show off the recipes I was making. At that time, I was also a huge makeup junkie, my friends were always asking me for beauty advice, and I wanted to create a place for them to go.
As time has gone on, I’ve continued to share the things I love on this site, whether it was cooking, DIYs, home decor, health, or overall lifestyle. I’ve enjoyed having this space to share and connect with others.
I’m so excited to talk about my latest love, PLANTS!
Almost 2 years ago, I was given a plant cutting from my boyfriend’s mom. The cutting was from a plant she had for years and years, no pressure, right? Well, I had no faith that I would be able to keep the thing alive.
I planted it in some soil, and before I knew it, it started to grow. It was so exciting to see new growth continue to pop out. Now, the plant is so big that I am highly considering moving to a bigger place for it.
I currently have a total of 10 plants! Plus, one more that I ordered online. Here’s what I have:
- Dumb Cane (the plant cutting)
- 3 snake plants
- 2 pothos
- Lucky bamboo
- ZZ plants
- Air plant
I’m looking forward to blogging more about plants, and that’s why I created the Plant Corner on Dishing Up Chic as a place for my plant content to live. If you’re interested in plants, plant care tips, and learning more about my journey, then please follow along!
I also started a #plantstagram separate from Dishing Up Chic. I post there often. Follow me @realplantmama.
If you have any plants, tell me what you have in a comment below!
Thanks for reading!
