Dishing up a side of gratefulness

I have so much to be thankful for every year, every day really. I feel especially thankful this year. I am in a really good place. If you told me things would be this good just a few months ago, I would not have believed you.

Over the summer I was feeling really down. I felt stuck in my job and wasn’t happy where I was in life. I stayed as strong as I could and kept going. Finally, things picked up for me and I am so thankful for that. —- (If you want to see a post on how to keep going when life isn’t going your way. Leave a comment below!)

Here’s what I’m thankful for this year….

My new job: Getting a new job was my main goal this year. After months of searching, applying and interviewing it’s nice to enjoy achieving my goal. My commute is great, the company is great and the people I work with are amazing. It’s so nice to wake up and want to go to work in the morning.

Apartment: My second goal for 2017 was to get my own place and I’ll be moving in two weeks! I’m really excited to start this new chapter and I’m just really happy that things are finally falling into place.

Family: Of course, I am always thankful for my family. I have great relationships with both my immediate and extended family. I love coming from a big family. Their support during all of this change between searching for a job, landing a job and now, moving means so much! Now, that I’m starting a new chapter in my life I feel especially grateful for the people that continuously are there to lift me up.

Friends: It might sound cliche but I have really awesome friends. I’m thankful to have them by my side on this crazy journey called life. It makes me happy to see all the changes that are going on in their lives as well!

Blogging: This hobby of mine brings me such joy. I love talking to other bloggers and I’m thankful for the friends I’ve made in this community. Sharing my favorite meals, makeup products and more with people and having those people engage with me is so rewarding!

I truly could go on and on listing everything I am thankful for this year, but I think I will wrap things up here. What are you thankful for this year?

Thanks for reading!

Nothing huge has happened this year, but I realised that I am pretty proud of who I am and although I have a lot that I want to work on and do, I’ve accomplished a lot! Even blog-wise, I’ve grown a ton in 2017 and I never thought I would be where I am 🙂
