Coty Airspun Powder Review

If you watch Youtube like me, you’ve heard of the Coty Airspun Powder. I have been looking for this powder for what seems likes forever. I finally got my hands on it and I asked you guys on Instagram if you wanted to see my review. Well, here it is.

Cost: I got mine from Walgreens for around $7.99. But you can get it for around $5.00 from Walmart. You get 2.3 oz. I’ve heard that people use this powder as an alternative to the famous, and my personal favorite, Laura Mercier loose powder. That powder is around $40 for 1 oz. I think for the amount of product you get from the Coty version it is a great deal for the price.

Packaging: I think the packaging is really nice. I love the orange color and the floating puffs on the lid. It gives me vintage vibes. Coty has been around since the 1930’s so, I feel like packaging pays homage to that time.

Smell: I wouldn’t normally put this in a review but this powder has such a strong smell, I had to mention it. The first time I used this powder I was so overwhelmed by the scent that I practically choked. The good thing is the scent goes away quickly and there’s a fragrance-free option as well.

Wear: At first, I really liked the finish of the powder. I would say the finish was matte but gave a healthy glow to the skin. You have to be careful of how much power you use because too much of this product is not a good thing! Too much of this powder, especially if you use the puff it comes with, can cause your face to look super cakey. If you use this product with a light hand, it can be really great. I wore it all day to work, went to dinner/shopping and my face still looked good, except for the tip of my nose, but my makeup always breaks up in that spot.

Color: The color says translucent but it does look like there is some color too it. Make sure to bring this down your neck because there were some days I felt like my face didn’t match the rest of me.

Overall, I would recommend this product as an alternative to Laura Mercier. If you’re on a budget, the Coty Airspun Powder is a great option. You get a ton of product that is long lasting. I guess there is a reason this product has been around so long, it really does work.

I have a few friends who adore the Laura Mercier powder but don’t want to risk taking it with them when they travel, I’m going to send them this post! It’s surprising how something that costs a mere fraction of the price can be just as good!

I’ve seriously never heard of this powder before. I love loose powder. I’m going to have to try it as I’m attracted the price and I love trying new things. Is it cruelty-free?

I never heard of this powder ! But I prefer compact ones (I use the mosaic from Avène), since I have oily skin I need to bring it with me everywhere, and I would be too scared to put powder all over my stuff in my bag ! But it seems like a great product, especially if it can compete with Laura Mercier ! 😊
