Everyday Makeup Products

Now that we’re in the Fall months, I changed my makeup routine.  My skin has been dry and it has been making my makeup look cakey.  Plus, I don’t see the need in wearing a ton of makeup during the week.

Here are the products that I have been using.

SPF Moisturizer- I wear a moisturizer with SPF daily, no matter what season we’re in because it is important to protect your skin. I love the Olay moisturizer but right now I am using a Target brand.

Tarte Shape Tape – This is my all time favorite concealer. I love the coverage so much. I haven’t been wearing much foundation lately, as I feel this gives me the coverage I need on it’s own. I make upside-down triangles under my eyes and use it in the areas I feel need some coverage as well, like the redness around my nose and on my chin.

Garnier BB Cream– Using a flat foundation brush I place this in the areas that I didn’t use my Tarte Shape Tape for a little bit of coverage. Luckily, my skin tone is pretty even so, I don’t need much.

Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in Translucent- I use the tiniest bit of this to set my makeup. Since my skin has been dry I am avoiding a lot of powder products. If you also have dry skin, know that powder products can cling to your dry patches.

Makeup Revolution Bronze Shimmer Highlight – Using a large, stippling brush I bronze the perimeter of my face using the B technique. On another note, I’m not sure why this is called bronze shimmer highlight. I don’t think it’s very shimmery.

Becca Cosmetics Shimmering Skin Perfector Poured (Cream Highlight in Opal) – Using my finger I apply a little bit of this on the high points of my cheekbones, brows, and nose.

One or two eyeshadows – Typically, I use medium brown eyeshadow and blend it all over the lid. If I feel like doing extra work I’ll use two eyeshadows- a transition shade and lid color.

Essence I Love Extreme Crazy Volume Mascara– I recently discovered Essence and I love their mascara and eyebrow gel. If you want to see a review of the brand leave a comment below!

Mario Badescu Rose Water– I use this hydrating setting spray to make everything melt into my skin.

Lippie- My lipstick changes from day to day but adding a lip color to your everyday makeup brings a nice pop to your face and makes you look more put together. It’s a simple trick to make you shine from the inside out, because a good lippie is a great confidence booster.

I’ve used Garnier’s BB Cream before – it is good! (Love a BB Cream) and will now be investigating Tarte’s Shape Tape, which I’ve not come across before! And I struggle to find a good concealer! Thanks!
