My first time making crab cakes

Thanks to the Pinterest gods and a sale on crab meat I finally got the chance to make my own crab cakes! They were so fun and easy to make. Plus, they tasted delicious!

I will be making them again for sure!

Like I said I found the recipe on Pinterest. You can find the original here: http://www.southyourmouth.com/2013/05/grandmas-maryland-style-crab-cakes.html

Here’s what I used:

1 pound of crab meat
3 small stalks of celery
1 teaspoon of yellow mustard
1.5 tablespoons of mayo
1 egg beaten
1 tablespoon of paprika
1/2 teaspoon of parsley
1 tablespoon of Old Bay seasoning
1/3 cup of bread crumbs
cooking spray

Chop celery into small thin pieces and combine with crab meat in a large bowl.
In a smaller bowl add mustard, mayo, egg, paprika, parsley and Old Bay and stir together.
Pour this mixture over crab meat and stir to combine.

Add bread crumbs and toss to coat evenly
Spray a muffin tray with cooking spray
Fill each cup with crab mixture
Put in oven at 375 degrees for 30 minutes

And of course, I topped my crab cakes with my mama’s secret seafood sauceIMG_0611

What’s something you’ve always wanted to cook?

Thanks for reading!
